The first two are from a series taken of a single milkweed seed with water drops. I hand held using a cheap 50mm 1.8 lens and a stack of extension tubes. The DOF is so small I was never sure what would be in focus, which led to some interesting outcomes. The third is just a slice of red onion.
The third one is actually purple cabbage, not red onion.
I viewed your photos first and when I read this comment I thought, "What's he getting on about, is he off his meds again?"
Then, of course, I finally read your post.
I love playing, er, using extension tubes. Some come out okay while others, such as yours, come out fantastic.
I love all of them and I have got to try the Red Onion trick but using Purple Cabbage instead.
Thank you for posting!

Image 1 and 2 has some mystique feel and that is interesting in my opinion.
They both have different feel and unable to choose one over other.
Some more enhancement perhaps.
Cheers
I love the "worlds" you created in the first two. They are amazing and beautiful. The cabbage abstract is wonderful too. Good job!
